The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education held a corporate matching ceremony for students participating in the business-related vocational education innovation zone project in Busan's Asiad City, Yeonje-gu, on the 28th.
50 vocational high school students and 11 companies participated in the launching ceremony.
The district project for vocational education innovation linked to geography, industry, and academia is operated in cooperation with the Office of Education and local governments to foster local vocational high school talents that will lead the development of local industries.
The Busan Office of Education and the Busan Metropolitan Government selected four key areas linked to local industries, including smart manufacturing, global tourism, financial management information service, and life care.
This year, 25 students in smart manufacturing and global tourism, respectively, and pre-employment and post-learning matching will be held at universities with excellent local technology companies.
In the smart manufacturing sector, seven companies, including Correns EM, Jeil Electric Industries, Samwoo MCP, Hansun Engineering, Hanmi Hydraulic Machinery, Samdo Hydraulic, and Hanzo, will participate.
In the global tourism sector, four companies, Park Hyatt Busan, Paradise Hotel Busan, Grand Chosun Busan, and Shilla Stay Haeundae, will participate.
Students matched with businesses take post-school classes at local cooperative universities after graduating from high school.
